Havre De Grace...

Postby jordonj » Thu Oct 28, 2004 1:26 pm

Well...I woke up at about 5:00 am having to pee like a racehorse from all those Dr. Peppers.  After waking I felt refreshed and ready to fly.  I went out for some fresh air and there was Russel and DeeDe sitting outside and talking.  I let them be for a bit and took a walk.  They saw me as I came back about 10 minutes later and we headed to the airport.  If DeeDee was feeling any after-effects of whatever Walt had given her, she gave no sign...

The weather was much better for flying...

The morning sky looked real nice!

Another pilot heading that way got this shot as we headed there.  I was flying by hand as this was a short hop from 33N to M06, so I didn't know about it until after we got there...

Image

I did take a shot of the area as I flew over and selected a direction to land (these are water runways).

Image

In the end I selected to land going West.  I brought it down real gently.  And we bounced along over to where the other planes were...

I wonder what you have to pay to hangar your plane there? ???

Image

There were already quite a few planes there, so I had to do a bit of tricky manuvering (and even some paddling) to get us to a parking space...the area was a bit crowded.

Parked and headed to get breakfast!

I also stopped at a coffee shop where you could go online for cheap...I found a couple of e-mails that said that David had gotten his Voplar fixed and he and Gabby were on their way.  Walt and Ann waited until they took off then went their own way.

But speaking of Voplars...

This one had flown in shortly after I landed.  It had just dropped anchor.

The show will be starting soon...can't wait to see those Sikorskys! 8)
