Dare to Dreamliner

Postby Iroquois » Fri Oct 15, 2004 10:17 am

ADS has finally released their long awaited 7E7-800 Dreamliner. A fine looking aircraft although I would have liked to see some better paints. The aircraft flies well but tends to be very sloppy at lower speeds. I'm not sure if this is a characteristic of the real aircraft of if it's a bug. Anyway here are the shots.

A full view of the model with smooth lines. The paint job isn't really sharp.

It comes in two liveries. Here's an Air New Zealand 7E7 landing at the Boeing plant after its first test flight.

You can download this from Avsim. Filename ads7e7.zip
The aircraft was done by Laurie Doering and the ADS team.

Looks like a 767 after it had gone through the washing machine once or twice. ::)

I picked that one up last night (you beat me to it)

I just realized what it reminded me of: Flash Gordon ships (as well as Battle of the Planets).

I like it, it looks a bit sci-fi to me.

Nice, I love the 7E7 ;D. It looks so smooth and fast 8). The only bad thing is that the textures need to be de-mipped but that is easily done.
