A leisurely Labor Day

Postby jordonj » Mon Sep 06, 2004 5:32 pm

Well,  Storm's family  invited me to a Labor Day cookout at their house.  I guess I'll go...

Later! ;D

All I see is Sammy's 206 sitting in the parking.  She has invited me for a flight (I'd also like to get some shots of Detroit)!

I shot this from the terminal...

Image

She has always had an intrest in flying, but instead of learning, she got married (in her days, good girls became wives, had children, etc.).  After her husband died, she decided that she had been good long enough!

Sammy got her license four years ago.  She flies tours in South America in the Winter for some tour company.  During the summer she comes back to Detroit.

She makes good money doing what she does (along with her late spouse's pension), so she got Cessna 206!  The plane is nice and weathered, but in great shape.

Image

Sammy was impressed by my flying, so she sat in the back.  She usually doesn't have passengers, so she keeps her stuff on the passenger (co-pilot's) seat.  She keeps the case secured with a bungee cord.  She likes her Coca-Cola...

A shot of the power plant...

A coastie took some shots of us flying over downtown...

I took a few myself...

Another shot from the coastie...

And we're coming in to land...Alundra and Mr. G came looking for me when they couldn't find me at Storm's cookout...

Image

Well, that 206 was certainly an interesting plane to fly.  Roomy too (though I pity anyone who has to sit way in the back).

Now for the BBQ! ;D

Hey Jordan, the cookout was yesterday (I'm serious, in my non-virtual life, it was yesterday :P), but you wanna join me in blowing fircrackers up cop car's back side? ;D

Great shots, but where are the fighter jets scarmbling after you invaded canaidan airspace ;D ;D Then again, where are the F-16s shooting down those canaidan jets ;D

I found it both at NoNodes (aka FlightSim.com) and FSFreeware.com.

That is for a re-paint that has no magnetic compass (I can't figure out to get that working)...

Also, it's missing the gauges in the VC (I posted a thread here)

I to get the one I was flying and the gauges in your VC, you can go to the French site here

The download in French (if like most Americans, you only speak English) is

The pilots are probably munching on fried Bologna and Screech (it's all Splash's fault) ;D
