A Lame Setup

Postby jordonj » Sat Oct 09, 2004 11:45 pm

I got up early to check out the airstrip on Friday...Just in time to catch this Bird dog coming in...

I ran up the hill to get this one...

When I got down, there was DeeDee waiting for me.  She told me that we were going out on the boat again.  There was a girl she wanted me to meet.  She then pointed at my camera and said; "an' you leave that thang back in yor room!"

Well the girl (whose name was Alyssa) seemed nice enough, but I really have no hopes for any sort of romance developing between us.  Say all you want about the power of positive thinking, but my clue was a pink triangle button on Alyssa's sweater (DeeDee is a bit...naive about this sort of thing). :-/ :P  Alyssa was just as annoyed as I was (fortunately, she didn't take it out on me...)

The good news was that Alyssa is an avid photographer...and she brought her own camera.  And she was more than willing to let me use it ;D.

I got these shots of a Cessna 195...man it made a huge wake!

It was loud to...not to mention fast!

Next Alyssa caught these shots of a Bellanca Scout...

And here was an unusual one (Tom told me later that this is an Air Tractor)...

Alyssa didn't know what this was, but recognized the type of plane...a husky!

DeeDee had no idea that Alyssa had brought her camera and thought we were talking...we decided let her think that...in the interest of keeping the peace ;D!
