I too got this aircraft and it is very nice.  The only let down is the gauges in the VC do not work, well not in mine.  It is modelled nice though and does fly well.

Downloaded bigger. 42mb took a few weeks in total  :P

When you've got a download accelerater (like me) you can pause the download and resume it when its convieniant. Very handy for when you get cut of as it rembers where it got to so you just reconect and cary on.

Only takes a few days to download 20meg.

The file size ain't important. See the Connie or the An-26.

I can download a 50meg file in less than a minute so file size isnt important for me. :)

Anyways, sweet little plane. :)

DO NOT INSTALL IT!!

It only installs via an exe and among other things, it replaces and deletes your current splash screen!! >:(

This is absolutely, totaly unacceptable, freeware or not!
This practice must be nipped in the bud before it spreads!

Yup, did it not make a backup of the original first?

I found a backup of the original luckily but it may have been my BOTA software that backed up the original??

Yes, of course :)
This is still  totaly unaceptable however!
If they want to replace the splash screen, fine but they must get your permission first!
I don`t give a %&@# it it is freeware!

Agreed.

I did reply to your other post.  I must admit in my haste to install it I didn't read any readme files etc so I am unsure if it mentioned it was going to do this in there.

It didn't give any options on install to not install the new splash which is a tad annoying though.  I think maybe it shoulda been put into the *.exe that you can choose whether or not u wish to install the splash.
