AN2 on a Fishin' Trip

Postby Splash » Wed Sep 29, 2004 11:33 pm

;D ;D ;D
Downloaded this one more or less for something to do and found the AN2 very addictive.  I think its a wonderful a/c (both wheeled and floats) to lumber around in especially on fishin' trips or going up to the cabin.  Now I gotta go get the Colt.

Sharp looking plane. What scenery is that in the first pic?

I just downloaded the AN-2 and I really like it. The scenery, is it FS, or downloaded?

Where did you get it?

Dave

Dave, got it on Flightsim.com.  an2tppp.zip (Wheeled) and an-2vppp.zip (Float).  I downloaded the panel by Chris Alevritis (an2pnl.zip) and replaced the 2D panel in it.  Much better.  There is a VC, but its not very good at all.
The scenery, is it FS, or downloaded?

The scenery is a download, Otter Creek, Goose Bay, Larador.  And it's also the World Terrain Map, download included (avail here on SimV) Otter Creek comes with two AI floatplanes as well.  I got it at FlightSim as well, file is ottcrkv1.zip (Vern Opperman) CYR2

I assure you, once you have done that, it's really quite lovely!

Jordan, just wondering if you are talking about the VC.  If so I must have screwed up one of the files, cause all I have is a blank deck, ie:  no gauges.  I will go back and check it out, don't remember renaming a file so that may be it.  Thanks

Let me see if I can find the thread I posted in the main FS2004 forum...

Found it, here is the thread...

Just copy the textures in the texture folder to the texture.CCR and texture.EGCR and you will find a difference in your VCs!
