Grosse Ile to Tor...I mean CNZ3

Postby jordonj » Mon Sep 20, 2004 8:10 pm

Well after having some fun in town (and being sure Stormtropper was doing his homework ;D) I got ready to head to Toronto.

On the way there, I took a couple of shots of the Ambassador Bridge by daylight...

Well I'm nearly to the halfway point when I feel that my eyes wanting to close and my head wanting to droop :o

Well, come to think of it, I didn't sleep well last night :-/

After consulting my map and GPS, I saw that there was a small airport to the South West of me known as Chatham or CNZ3...

So I tuned my ADF to the NDB near the airport...

Image

And came down (good thing I decided to do so)!  Some kid was out and got me with his camera...

Image

Since Grosse Ile didn't have the correct fuel, I re-fueled here.

Image

Then I went and parked the plane...

Image

As I secured the plane, an officer (Mountie?) came up and started asking me questions (reason for your visit, any perishables, why I stopped here, blah blah), a couple of minutes later, he pointed me to a bed-and-breakfast up the road!

I will continue after I rest for a while...

Do you have the Southern Ontario mesh already installed????? That should make it look a lot better, even though there are still flaws in that upgrade as well and it's not really good on your FPS . Good luck.

I thought that mesh came with the Toronto Scenery?

Do you know where I can find that mesh (or is it part of the 70M mest, region NA50?)

Those are very pretty pictures.  I would love to learn to take pictures like that.  I use Flight Simulator 2004 and don't know a whole lot about it yet.

I use PixResizer to resize and IrfanView to crop and etc.

Also, I use FSScreen to capture screeshots (It saves the files automatically so you don't have to exit FS2004 to paste the shots)!
