Simply my favorite freeware so far!!!

Postby EricK » Sat Sep 18, 2004 3:39 am

Hi there,

Just found my personal favorite piece of freeware so far. This PC-12 is among the best overall freeware packages that I have ever found. The model, the sound, the VC, the effects, all perfect. I absolutely love this plane!! Can be found over at Avsim and maybe here! It is called the AFG PC12. I highly recommend this one!

Hope you enjoy the shots!!
Eric

Thanks for the replies.

Heretic. I agree the VC is very basic but, the overall package is excellent. I'll admit I'm partial to this particular plane, but it is the sum of the experience which makes the difference for me. Super easy on frame rates, amazing sound, etc. All adds up to what I would call a great "daily driver"!!! Just download it, then tell me what you think!

Thanks again
Eric

I have tested it and my conclusion is that the flying experience ain't that good in the VC. The model,sounds,etc...is superb, but the VC (and panel)...

I'm downloading it right now, too bad avsim is so slow. It is downloading at 14kbps.

It is a 43.9mb d/l.
It will go faster if you download it here:

At least it has one! ;)

I have found far too many aircraft that have no VC, when it is fairly simple to include at least a non-working one.  I like the feel of flying with something visual to look around at things through.  Makes the experience seem much more real . . .

Sure, but if it ain't done at least clearly with nice texturing,it ain't nothin' for me.
The best VCs I've seen so far have the Commanders and the YS-11.

I can live without a VC (such as in the case of the Twotters)

Be warned, this plane is a real chore to get working!  I had to do a lot of trial-and-error to get this working...:P
