Missile Defense

Not the ground based defense system you thought it would be, eh?
Nope, instead it's the F-104 Starfighter from Strike Fighters.

I've always heard it being called "the missile with a man in it."

Oh,I thought you were talking about the russian missile defense system.

Well,a Starfighter ain't that bad either...unfortunately I won't be flying it, since I chose a career at the Marines in SF. But at least I'll fly the different versions of the A-4 and maybe the F-4. ;D

Nice shots!  I think I'm going to have  to pick up that sim!

My grandma always called Starfighters 'Widowmakers'.

More off topic:

Interesting story I heard from my boss: The original design of the F-104 had the ejection seat jettison out of the bottom of the aircraft (presumably due to the T-tail), and pilots would invert prior to ejecting.  Shortly after they had corrected the design, making it the typical topward jettison, and experienced pilot was doing a few rounds in the new Starfighter variant when something went drastically wrong, forcing the pilot to eject. His mistake? He was used to the idea of having to invert before ejecting, which in turn caused him and his seat to hurdle towards the ground at extreme speed.  :o  :-[
