Add power gradually; accellerate slowly until the rudder has enough bite to counteract the torque. :) Once you've got rudder bite; dial on power to full over several seconds. The thing's got a boehemoth of an engine; so even adding power slowly this mother moves! ;D

Thank's for the help. So much for Avhistory's 1% method. Wasn't expecting so much power.

Iroquois - Ignore what I said; I obviously didn't know what I was talking about. I don't know how I did it; but I was playing with it in that Swiss airstrip Omag's challenge was in - I landed, turned around and zoomed off again. I dunno - maybe the altidude had sommat to do with it. Since then (and after that first post) I haven't been able to get it off the ground once.
I don't mean to sound egotistical; but as far as sims are concerned; if I can't land or takeoff an aircraft under any conditions; there's something seriously wrong with the flight parameters.
In the case of this corsair; the fault was very easy to spot:
Under [Flight Tuning]; the .cfg file contains the lines:

Staiduk:  I d/l the f4f the other night and have taken off and landed many times now with no problems. I just keep the brakes on until the engine comes up to about 3/4 throtle with full flaps, release the brakes and away I go stright down the r/w and lift off smoothly.

I think it depends on what you have your realism set at.  When I first got it, there was no way I could take off with it spinning like it was... so I changed the realism to low... and it flew fine.  I would rather have realism set to high though....
