Chickens are nice and all, but renaming the file in your autogen folder to "Default.bak" will insanely increase your FPS!  Of course...this removes the chickens and the FEW other "easter eggs".

jordonj: I to changed my cfg and saw an instant fps increase of 10 - 15 fps. Man I was sure glad to get rid of that big @#$ bird.  ;D

Yes, it does remove some easter eggs, but it also is a great boon for those of us who can't afford to upgrade right now! ;)
