OK, mine is an 'urricane with an 'ook (Sea Hurricane) but all models are basically the same. As you can see, the stringers don't always show from all angles - although I think the author has made a little booboo this time. It doesn't look bad at all for a first attempt. IMHO

Despite popular opinion the Hurricane was of all-metal construction. Wooden stringers & top decking were attached to a traditional steel tube fuselage structure to give the fabric covering a streamlined shape.
