Minusone Flying

Postby Gixer » Fri Sep 03, 2004 10:22 am

Found this rather weird motor/glider on no-nodes.  Its not that bad actually and I quite enjoy floating around in it.  Its a shame the guy hanging down isn't animated (i.e. he leans to turn) but its got a lawnmower engine (sounds like it too)  and glides real well.

He means FlightSim.com.  Logging in is a challenge as you often get a screen saying there are no nodes available (hence the nickname) :(

So where did the scenery come from?  The deer valley flying club?

If you don't get in the first time, just keep hitting F5 Refresh and keep trying.  Easier to do it that way and I usually get in after 8/10 trys

The second file is an update.

So you get this stuff by joining virtual airlines?

No we are not a virtual airline at all.  We are a Virtual club.  You can fly what you like, where you like, when you like.  Yes we got virtual $$$ involved to add a bit of fun but you dont have to take part in that if you dont want.  You get cash for completeing hoplists, competitions, completeing jobs etc etc.  Somtimes we have an open Tower at KDVT which is a blast.  A lot of the guys r real pilots, where as I am not so its fun trying to learn the lingo.  I just enjoy flying on line more than offline and this club is great to be able to do what I like when I like with no stupid rules.

I have read through our forums and think that the scenery will be made public, just waiting to see what the guy who made it says  ;D

GIxer,

That's one interesting looking "aircraft".  How does it handle?

Yeah, I've been through that at flightSim several times.  >:( I think they just want you to pay for the premium membership.  Didn't put 2+2 together for the nickname. ???

It handles quite nicely.  My only gripe would be is that it glides better than some of my high performance gliders!  I may increase the drag a bit so its glide rate isn't quite so good, but its fun to fly, if you like gliding and the sound of a lawn mower engine  ;D

I finally got this one loaded in.  It's a blast! ;D  I take it up to about 3000, cut the engine and soar for what seems forever, 8) then gently walk it down to the runway.  Very nice power glider!
