The lovely RealAir Cessna 172.

Postby Fozzer » Sat Aug 28, 2004 4:30 am

Hi Lads...!

A real treat for the few of us who enjoy flying "General Aviation" aeroplanes... ;)...!

The gorgeous RealAir Cessna 172, available for both FS 2002 and FS 2004.

An excellent model, complete with pilots in the P1 and P2 seats, and blessed with a good turn of speed... 8)...!

Here are a couple of pics to show off the model... ;D...!
(Note: I've even had my own U.K. registration letters painted on for me....G-BPLF....Golf Bravo Paul L Fosbery).... ;D...!
LOL...!

Great shots.  Gotta say the rudder on that plane is dam aggressive.  You can do massive side slips with it  ;D  And spin it round and round and round and round and well u get the picture  8)

;D ;D ;D
Yep, had it in 2002 and have it again in 2004 and it is indeed a great plane that one can do some wonderful things with.  Too bad there's not more like it.  It is a treat to fly this Cessna.
Cheers

Oh Paul........is my observation correct in seeing a mirrored texture on the left side of that aircraft ?.....the side which you casually show the reg as G-GPLF ?
I was trying to make out the name on there and it seems that the initial upper case letter is on the wrong end of each word ?.....Hmmmmmmmmmm.....

........not that I'mn picking or saying that its your responsibility, but was that a product of the reg # change, or is it that way when you download the A/C ?...... ???

Rifleman,

Yes... that reverse texture is a deliberate release by the company that made the plane.  It used to be only payware...... but they released it ...I think to basically demonstrate the flight dynamics that thjay have developed as a marketing effort for other aircraft.

This plane is supposedly FAR more realistic to a real C172 then anything else out there.  I've had it for a long time... almost since the day I got fs2004.  It flys very different from any other C172 's I've flown.

It is able to generate a decent spin.

best,
