Toronto to Toronto......Part 41

Postby ludo62 » Sun Aug 29, 2004 8:52 am

6 PM, just as Davy and i were going to make our decision, my granddad who had heared that we came in second the last airshow had brought us a good plane to compete with and maybe have a chance to win :D. It's a P-51 D with a Saxy Blonde livery :o :o :o. My granddad has had this plane for quite some time now (i even remember him working on it for many hours). He says that i can have the plane if i win the competition :D. Eventhough i was very happy with the offer i needed to bring to my granddads attention that i can't fly two planes at the same time when i continue my trip around the world ???. It seems he always has a solution for everything, he says that he has several special hangar's around the world that he started building just after WWII. He has a large collection of new and older planes in these hangars he has :o. When i asked him how many hangers he has, he says that he has more than he can remember 8). I'm gonna ask him for a list of that shows me where the hangars are located and in which country yoo hoo ;D. So now it's my turn to prove to myself and others that i got what i takes to be a good (acrobatic) pilot ;). Here i am taking off with the P-51 D with smoke pods................lets do it ;D.
Image
What a plane, it cuts through the air like a hot knife glides through butter, does this feel great or what 8).
Image
This is a picture Davy took when he was flying our twin Bonanza for a closer look, and is it close enough ???.
Image
Giving the local residents something to look at :o.
Image
Straight up with a couple of daring loops ;D.
Image
Another eye catcher for the people on the ground at the airport (in the background), man does this plane fly great 8).
Image
A couple of loops over the gulf of Guinea, then back to the airport to hear my results ???.
Image
Landed safely with this wonderful piece of machinery ;D. Now comes the hardest part waiting for the results ::). In the mean time Davy did finally buy that cooler he's been talking about for days now, he's installing it as we speak ;D. I just heard that the results will be posted on the pegboard just outside of the restaurant. So it would be a good idea to find somewhere to sleep here and have something to eat in the restaurant so we can keep an eye open for when they post the winners ;D.
Image
Results are in the next chapter (42) coming soon. Happy Flying :D

I downloaded the P51-D Mustang from your link and it flies great it's just the gauges aren't showing up. Since they're not showing I switched to the default De havilland Comet panel. I did put the Mustang panel in a temp folder and I'm wondering if someone else has this problem and knows how to fix it.
