Martin Marietta X-24A Lifting body. The engine was a Thiokol XLR-11 rocket engine of 8,000 lbs. thrust

Simulated drop from a B-52

Firing the engine and climbing fast.

Out of fuel and on the way down.

Turning to head back to base.

On final RWY 22, Edwards AFB.

The real one landed at about 180 knots.

That is not the same plane as is on the FS98 page, I don't even need to download it to see that.
