The free A-10 that kicks ass!

Postby EricK » Wed Aug 25, 2004 11:57 pm

Hi there,

Noticed some great posts lately of the new Aerosoft A-10 over in the payware forum. Just wanted to remind everyone that there is a great freeware A-10 still out there!! (Thanks Kirk Olsson!)

Hope you enjoy

Eric

I wonder if Kirk will update his A-10?
His updated Mirage F1 is really looking good.

You can check out it's current progress here.

Hi JBaymore,

Those are AI aircraft operating out of Mountain Home AFB. I use the great freeware flightplans and AFCAD's by Dave O'Brien. Just do a search for his name at any of the major sites. You will also need TTools. As far as me flying so close to them for the shots, well, that just takes alot of practice and patience!!(haha)

Good luck
Eric

Great pic's. Is this A-10 for fs9, if so where might I find it. I checked for Kirk Olsson, with no luck.

This one looks so much better than the "too shiny one" in the payware posting........

Thanks again for the replies!

Rifleman, I agree with you about the shiny A-10!

Stevewilson and Mr Mugel, I actually found this one at SurClaro.com. Here is the direct link -

http://www.surclaro.com/download.php?op ... 9a-10a.zip

It has been updated slightly for FS9. It has great effects, sound, etc. It does have a VC, but it is very basic. Also, it has an issue with the landing gear not showing unless you do a trick in the FS9 cfg which is a little tricky. It is the same issue with many 02' model aircraft. You must turn on hidden file folders, go into the cfg and delete the entry A-10 under the heading "framecallnowarn". After that you'll have landing gear. Hope that all made sense!!??

Thanks again
Eric
