Experimental that should remain just that!

Released today I guess was some kind of Jet/Helicopter experimental aircraft. I am sorry I have no pics to show this off. Well I guess because there is nothing worth showing off of this aircraft.

I give the creator his props for the concept design. It looks similiar to the aircraft flown in the movie "6th day" with Swarzeneggar being a pilot of a charter company in the future. But the first couple of things that killed me with this craft was its sound file. Airwolf's high speed attack sounds  ???! While you are standing still on the ground  :-/!

then when you finally get off the ground the aircraft is topping well over 1,000 knots (KIAS) very unstable. I never figured out how to convert to Helicopter mode. It says press F5 but that didn't work. This aircraft needs to be sent back to the hanger and give it a more realistic airfile and some different sound file.

Nice concept, but lacks in playability!

Well, it works great in fs2002 ...........the only problem is that in helicopter mode it dosn't act like a helicopter much, it can't seem to hover but it goes much slower.

The point of posting it here is so that anyone interested in flying this aircraft, know which I am talking about to save them the effort of downloading this aircraft for FS9!

seeing as this aircraft is having some technical issues in FS2002 as well interms of playability, I think the creater just made it fly slower in helicopter mode to mimic the slow flight of a helicopter. Since it can't hover like a helicopter I guess the whole point is you can not make a hybrid jet/helicopter for either version, that will act like a jet/helicopter in either modes.

Last time I checked any FS aircraft that broke the 1,000 knots barrier became really unstable in flight. Any Helicopter that hovers above the ground should be able to hover at 0 knots and land without moving around the place on the ground.

Bottom line is the creator didn't spend enough time tweaking his baby and released what we all should call the "BETA" version of this aircraft.

This beauty needs to be taking back to work shop hanger and have all its quirks banged out!

Yeah, tried it in FS02, the switch modes work but it do need the bugs worked out.  I think it would be a fun thingy to play around with if it is fixed
