EGHD (Plymouth) to EGHH (Bournemouth) However as will be explained later this leg was split in two.
Ready for off at dawn in Plymouth 05.30ish BST all set for the hob from Devonshire into Dorset.
The River Tamar border between Cornwall on the right and Devon on the left. The road and rail bridges. The rail bridge was built by Isanbard Kingdom Brunel and carries what was his Great Western Railway between the two counties.
Now over Devonport Naval dockyards where most of the UK's navy is refitted and built including our nuclear subs.
Continuing eastward along the cost as the sun rises above Dartmoor.
Passing over the seaside towns of Brixham, Paignton and Torquay
The sun comming up was heating things rapidly and it started to get a little bumpy.. too bumpy for the old bird to handle so I headed up the River Exe and made an unexpected breakfast stop at Exeter.(EGTE)
I would continue the flight in the afternoon when things had calmed down a bit.
