I agree Craig, for me they're a team which is hard to like.
As a young 'un brought up watching our local boy Nige trying to win a World Championship in his Williams, constantly getting beaten by Senna in his red and white McLaren, it has fostered a certain animosity towards McLaren and Marlboro cigarettes

, so much so that Senna's efficiency in stalling Mansell was probably the strongest factor in me not smoking (for some reason I never associated Camel with cigarettes ;) )
Still, despite that initial reaction, the red and white McLaren is also a potent reminder of Formula One when it was actually interesting to watch. Mansell's tyre exploding, Senna hitching a lift, Senna and Prost taking each other out, twice....wasn't it a McLaren that loomed out of the spray in a rear view camera and took the wing off a Brabham/Lotus/Tyrrell?
Ah yes....happy days.
Somehow the sport has lost all that, it just seems a bit of a procesion these days, maybe they need a few more Brummie drivers ;)
RIP Ayrton
