A daring flight and a catchy tune

One of Henri Mignet's Flying Flea designs. See the Wiki for more info - Mignet Pou-du-Ciel

The plane crashed a few years after this flight, and the accident report is interesting reading (aside from the loss of three teeth, the pilot only had minor injuries).

Re the accident:
The craft was designed as a Tricycle, rather than a Tail Dragger, enabling the pilot a better view over the engine cowling when taxiing, with the ever-danger of a nose-wheel collapse during landing, which was what happened in this case, with very expensive results!
I much prefer Tricycles in my Flight Sim GA Aircraft for better visibility, but as many of my landings are on grass and rough landing strips, I am forever grateful for "invincibility" in my flight settings...

...something you don't get in real life!.... .... ....!

Paul...Cessna 150 Tricycle.... ...!

P.S...Wooden aircraft!... ....recalling the slow demise of my home-constructed, Wooden Canadian Canoe, left out in the open in all weathers.... ...!
