Vertical take off for fixed wing aircraft is not modelled into any version of FS and a half heli half jet hybrid is beyond the realms of possibility also. So with the Harrier you have to extend full flaps and if the airfile is done right you should take off in no distance at all. But remember that Harriers in reality use a rolling take off as vertical take off uses up one hell of a lot of fuel.
