Many had to forego their intended home-cooked meal. (I had one cold leg of chicken as the inside temperature dropped to the 40s, below freezing after I left). In the dim ambient light, I shovelled out my car @ 4 in the morning but the plow eventually arrived to fence it in with snow 3 times as high (up to the car's windows) as Mommy Nature had. By the time I had it cleared and still no power, I managed a call to the jobsite (fortunately, it's a motel) and was told we were nearly sold out but there was a room I could shower and change into my work suit for my night shift.
Power is back on for me (still not restored in many places) but my refrigerator and floor is a mess...
a lot of cleanup to do...
For any in need of heat, shelter or any other debacle, I pray all is resolved soon...
