The first guy hasn't been tested for ebola yet, it doesn't say his symptoms are consistent with ebola, he has no history that would indicate ebola. It could be an infected toenail for all we know. ;)

The confirmed victim in Dallas:
How will a modern/wealthy health system cope with ebola? The death rate will no doubt improve from the 70% in Liberia, perhaps to something like 20%. Immediate access to doctors and the isolation methods will prevent further serious transmissions.

This outcome from this disease is all about poverty. Modern health systems can reduce this disease to a threat level much, much lower than flu. Flu incidentally kills about 500 folk in the US each year.........

It's important to know how the disease is and is not transmitted, and how it has been transmitted. We can safely walk thru a mall etc without worrying about it. As a rule, I generally watch out for anyone sneezing or coughing and keep my distance anyway, it's always wise to take that precaution anywhere:

Wikipedia:

Human-to-human transmission can occur via direct contact with blood or bodily fluids from an infected person (including embalming of an infected dead person) or by contact with objects contaminated by the virus, particularly needles and syringes. The potential for widespread EVD infections is considered low as the disease is only spread by direct contact with the secretions from someone who is showing signs of infection. The symptoms limit a person's ability to spread the disease as they are often too sick to travel. Because dead bodies are still infectious, local traditional burial rituals may spread the disease. Nearly two thirds of cases of Ebola in Guinea during the 2014 outbreak are believed to be due to burial practices. Semen may be infectious in survivors for up to 3 months. It is not entirely clear how an Ebola outbreak is initially started. The initial infection is believed to occur after ebola virus is transmitted to a human by contact with an infected animal's body fluids.

One of the primary reasons for spread is that the health systems in the part of Africa where the disease occurs function poorly. Medical workers who do not wear appropriate protective clothing may contract the disease. Hospital-acquired transmission has occurred in African countries due to the reuse of needles and lack of universal precautions. Some health care centers caring for people with the disease do not have running water.

Airborne transmission has not been documented during EVD outbreaks

Really, like in Realllyyyyyyyyyy

I'm so glad we have all these "Arm Chair" internet warriors who are total experts on seemingly every subject at hand, as long as theres a Key board around !

Who needs Harvard or Yale anymore, or UCLA when we've got Keyboards for every single subject that pop up, everybody can be an expert within seconds !

" More than 80 people have had at least indirect contact with an Ebola patient in Dallas, Texas health officials say".

It may surprise you Jetranger to find out most of us come here to relax and get away from this sort of stuff.... There is too much negative BS reporting in my opinion, that's why I tend to only put up articles that are uplifting or funny, to share a smile.

OK, Ozzy. Lets try this.

A woman convinces her husband to sleep under a mosquito net.

When he's deeply asleep she opens up a jar full of mosquitos under his net.

A little later she turns on a bug zapper. When the little critters are dead she hops under the netting.

It might produce a short marriage, but a happy wife. :D
