First off, Winged.One..
Nobody is saying that you are complaining.
I think we are all just blowing off steam about the topic, that is all....

No offence but I always find it a little funny that the people complaining the most are the ones who havent even been here that long
As for creativity...I've seen plenty. It is a little hard for some but its there. Your not limited much...theres a whole frickin world to explore. Not so much about the aircraft but the scenery as well If anything you have to be quite creative in your shot this month to make it stand out. Thats better then a free for all IMHO. Why should the aircraft on the runway restrict the creativity...I just dont see where some of you are coming from...its all about the angles, scenery, and setting. May have to play a little more this month but only makes your screenshot abilities better in the long run because it forces you to experiment....cant anyone be happy that theres accauly a challenge
Personaly my shot was taken in FS2002, tower view, dark side of the aircraft, and the use of scenery and setting more then the aircraft its self. Almost everyone is going to use their most recent sim for the contest...its easier when you know what your flying in. FS98 was an interesting one though (for some reason if I try a screen in 98 all i get is a black box for a shot )
Contest isnt about winning its about the fun. Some say this months is hard to get much from...I think the restricted rules are even better...makes you have to think about it more and limits everyone in some way. Makes it easier for those of us in older sims to accualy have a decent chance in the contest
Seems its time everyone cools off, why is it that things are getting so hyped up lately. Tensions over this contest have never been higher Yes there are a lot of newer members competing...most of them apparently cant read rules, yes this theme accualy makes you think a little more.....its just something everyone needs to adjust to. I kind of liked the idea of making new members wait a couple months before being allowed to enter as well as a certain number of posts....say 50... Would limit all the new comers that are only here for the comp and could care less about anything else...Some of them post a shot thats out of bounds and dissapear as soon as someone says something. Why should someone be allowed to come in here, their only post in the entire site be for the contest, win the prize, and never be heard from again Seems since the contest there has been a huge number of new arrivals...how many of them have accualy hung around after the comp
Anyways...its getting late. So relax everyone...its just a contest
Very well said Triple!!
Put it this way, the contest is going to have a few changes in the future.
I think the people complaining are the people who just want to slap their "easy shot" up and hope to win.
We did not create the contest for that reason.
Yes, I agree that the rule this month was a little "restrictive...............................
SO WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is a simple contest!
It kills me to see a dozen "locks" in the contest forum.
From now on it is going to be a simple "delete" of the thread! If you can't take the time to read the rules, why should we take the time to "modify" your post!
Another rule that is going to change is you need to be registered here at least 3 months prior!
This should help to avoid anybody from like I said, just registering to compete. The thread will simply be deleted!!! End of story!!
I CAN'T STAND SEEING LOCKED THREADS IN THE SCREENSHOT COMPETITION. It adds to the numerous posts that need to be looked at when judging the competition!!!
I am getting frustrated with people just entering to get the prize. They are not regulates here. This site is for our users, not guests to come and post a shot that is linked, over sized, etc...... because they have not even attempted to read the rules that are in place to avoid many of the problems...
I think we might take a month off so everybody can re-group, cool their jets and realize that the contest is something that we go through great lengths to construct!
All you people who complain about the contest remember, this is a privately run site that creates it's own rules, if you do not like the rules, then do not play the game!!
