There is no oil on that ship. Only the diesel in the fuel tanks. I think reporters are taking a liberty on some of the facts there...
I don't care what sort of oil it is. It will inevitably end up on my local beach.

50 containers overboard, none of which are thought to contain chemicals. Nothing said about oil or fuel spills, only that another tug is due to arrive that will take off whats on board.
There was a reference to leaked diesel a few days ago, but the coastguard said that it had been dispersed naturally and posed no threat to the enviroment.
I think your beach is safe for the time being.
