Hi littleport2003:
Perhaps I could expand a little on what Doug suggested in his last post about the local airfield.
Have you tried to approach the folks that are going to be doing the training?
I always found that most of these people will remember the past and the cash flow problems they had years back. Now I am not telling you to beg for a job

but mention to them you are interested in starting to learn to fly and you would like to take the lessons from them.
Let them know how old you are and the problems you are having trying to obtain a job to take lessons. Mention to them you DO NOT WANT TO GO INTO DEBT OR SELL YOUR MOTHER ETC....but you would love to be able to hang out and do odd jobs for them for flying time.
Start hanging around for a week-end or two...show them some interest.
Sooner or later someone will notice you and things will start to happen from there.

Remember one thing...if you don't get an offer of training but an offer of...sure kid we will take you up for a bit at the end of the day....take it...there are too many rules and regulations for a company to use the Barter System...you help them and we will do this.
Don't ask them to put something in writing...if they offer you a flight at the end of the day take it.
You might be surprised...you may not like flying...who knows?
I have always found if you show some interest and do a little more than what is asked...most pilots have a soft spot in their heart to give someone a break.
Hope this helps

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
