Well it turns out, health and safety has stuck in its stupid wisdom. We had the RAF parachuters at cosford, well usually they would jump from 10,000+ i believe and they would all have smoke canisters on their boots. Now H&S say that is too dangerous to jump from that height with smoke going. Now they must jump from 5000(might be 4000) without the smoke. So now they have litteraly seconds to get their chute open. highly trained military jumpers, oh yeah much safer.
