Sorry to hear this old pal. It's been a bad week on the roads here in the UK also. Yesterday some woman pulled out of a side street and smashed up my dad's car.
At least no one was badly hurt.

I'm glad no one was hurt.  It happens quite often in Florida that you'll hear of a carload of old people that have no business driving wrecks and four or five are killed.  You try to look out for older folks, but sometimes it can't be helped.  You can't watch them 24 hours per day.

I agree it's the dady effect kicking in.  While Tammy was pregnant, I spent the first three months worried I would get robbed and killed or something and never see the babies... ::) :)

Glad ya hit the b*tch  :o Did I blurt that out? Oh, I'm sorry. There are a lot of complete idiots around here, please, by all means, feel free to wedge their head between your tire and the wheel well. Oh, wait, can't do that. I am supposed to uphold the law (thats the downside of this job - get hit extra hard if your a cop and are convicted of something)

There are plenty of fools around here, some of which, are so stupid, I'm suprised nobody has made an attempt to kill them. (ehhh bad thoughts coming back)

The people? Who cares about the people? Was the car hurt? Any dents?

(I am glad your father is okay.)

The problem in the UK is that the poor old motorist is now Public Enemy #1, followed closely by cigarette smokers. This is twice as bad for me as I come under both categories. ::)

This stupid government has successfully turned public opinion against car drivers so pedestrians (& cyclists) now feel they have every right to use the road as well as the pavement however they wish. If I were unlucky enough to hit one of these idiots, I would be the one to suffer whatever the circumstances. Nobody seems to appreciate that I & other drivers pay a considerable amount for the dubious privilege of using the road when nobody else does. >:(

Try being a lorry driver!!! How much for using a mobile in a car and how much in a lorry? I could go on and on but the vallium is starting to kick in!.Regards Chris

Ah yes, sounds like the classic ghetto-buster with his pants with the crotch at the knee, hood pulled over his head, smoking something(!), and just come off the sidewalk into the rooad whilst traffic stops.  He of course is completely oblivious to the cars careening at him.  He must hope that a cotton-top is not coming down the street!

There is some ridiculous stuff here.  Little old ladies that can hardly see over the wheel(some can't!).  The slowly drift about in and out of proper lanes.  Generaly, when they hit something(normally in parking lots), they just keep going as if nothing happened.

Another common case is the ghetto-buster tpe from above walking down the middle of the street just because the sidewalk as around an inch of snow on it.  And of course they never look behind themselves.  Normal cure:  get right up behind them and blast the horn, or the better alternative is to go into neutral and dift in behind, and within a few feet of them, rev the engine! ;D  Thatt'll sure get them moving! (not that they can with their pants at absurd lowness)

So, yes, we have our share of twats here.  Luckilky, you can report people who are iffy and have them re-take the drving exam.

I think yoou find driving twats all over.  Here, turn signals seem to be a thing of the past, every day is opposite day when it comes to red lights,  and some people just can't keep the car in the middle of the lane(they use complete wrong reference point and seem to think that they are sitting in the center of the car, thus having the car extremely off to the right of the lane).

Some people just don't get it... :-/

Ozzy, its a good thing you dont live here. You would have got a lot of points for hits. (hit points from the movie "Death Race 2000").
Our biggest problem here is the so called "smart people" from Cornell Univesity.  None of those damn kids look. They just assume you will stop. There are atleast 3 hits every month during the school season
