NO CONTROL OF AIRCRAFT ON THE GOUND

FSX including FSX Steam version.

NO CONTROL OF AIRCRAFT ON THE GOUND

Postby tommyhughes » Fri Nov 15, 2013 11:33 pm

Don't know how to explain it BUT...................

If starting from active runway as the aircraft speeds up it moves of tp the left of the runway and I can not bring it back in line.

On the other end, after I land the aircraft it moves off to the right of the runway and again I can not control it.

In the air, my joy stick works perfectly.

I have re-calibrated it.

I'm stuck.......................driving my self crazy trying to figure it out.

Any suggestion would be appreciated

Next time when your all set to go and you start rollin for take-off and you start veering to the right or left, just unplug your usb connection for your joystick and plug it back in. See if that corrects your problem.

ummmm ~ this happens with all your Aircraft or just that particular 1 ???

sounds to me, just guessing, that something with your Joystick configuration is off, and or somethings NOT reading your joy stick correctly.

tho you may fly in the air, move up/down side to side etc. being on the ground is different with wheels down on the tarmac you should be able to steer, and move back and forth

UNLESS ---- you are using an Aircraft, like a tail dragger, that the rear tail wheel is NOT locked or locked, than you have to either lock or unlock the rear tail wheel, which you'll ewither maybe have a switch in the cockpit or, if you don't - than you'll have to go in to the Aircrafts CFG Files and edit 2 of these // marks out so you'll have a steerable tail wheel.

Question is if ya want serious help , which Aircraft are ya using ????

what type of Joystick

which flight sim ??? 2004 or FSX ????

when you know more - others will be able to know more too , to help ya there Pilot !!

Sincerely : Chief Flight Mechanic, Joe Patroni :geek: :D

Which joystick are you using? If it has a twist-grip rudder control make sure that Auto-rudder is disabled in FSX Settings.

OK it looks like the issue was with the auto rudder. Issue is also not just tail draggers. so thanks for the help

I was refering to FSX with a Saotex ST 200 which is a little old, but still functional. Probably need to upgrade.

Again thanks.

Still have issue with scenery not showing, but will deal with that later. ^-^
