Hi, I just want to hear about anyone know if it is possible to have FS 2004 installed 2 times at the same time on PC, the reason is because my FS 2004 (on nearly 30 GB) have started to show some sickness problems, and then if it

I'm going to guess it is possible if there is some way to identify the second one under a different name.  Instead of calling it FS2004, you'd call it Snoopy's Flight Sim and I'm guessing it would execute and function just like the original. But here's the thing: You'd have to rename it SFS in EVERY location it's called FS2004 or the computer would confuse the two. How many locations? Probably tens of thousands. Then again, I may be completely wrong and you can have it on an external or masked behind some alternate name. I'm sure somewhere in time the same situation as yours has arisen...

[color=#000000]Rename your FS9 folder to something else, also name the FS9.cfg & FS9.exe that, and it will recognize it, allowing you to not have to rename anything after. I chose to use FFS9, but I don't think it matters as long as you change it.

Then just pop in your FS9 disc one and install as you normally would. You can do this as many times as you have available hard drive space.

If you keep your addon scenery somewhere besides the FS9 addon folder, you only have to have the scenery in that one place. You just have to add it as normal, but in both installs, that is if you want it in both. If not, just keep up with which one is which and which sceneries you want in each install. Obviously, there are a few addons that have to be in FS9/Scenery for some reason, but these are few.

Yes Opa, I tend to hang on to instructions for things like this. You just never know.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

You might wish to refer the OP to Tips and Tricks for FS2004 - Issue number 25.

It has a detailed, step by step, walk through for setting up a multiple installation and a few words regarding some cautions when doing so.

It is in the library here I am sure but I do not know how to link to it.  It is also available at Avsim and Flightsim.

Hope that helps.

Nick's Lightfix v2-http://www.simviation.com/fs2004misc21.htm-will un-sync the aircraft flashing lights, plus many other light enhancements/fixes.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
