Just run the GEP gui and install a set from that.

I would have thought that the FS Registry Repair Program would have fixed it as you said it did as I have used it when I had that "FS9_DIR not found" error.

I don't know what the difference is between 1.2 and 1.8, but I just checked the www.aussiex.org website and it's available there:

1.8 isn't an upgrade. It's an entirely new version, which leads me to believe some of the textures might have changed since 1.2. They ask you to delete all the old VOZ files with good instructions to make no mistakes
I don't know if it's for FSX but I'm using it for FS9 and it works perfectly
Paul, the VOZ site is closing down, but aussiex.org will still be hosting the package
It's 598mb, so it should fit into a CD no problem
