For me, over the past 10+ years of DAILY "flying" using the various flight simulators, from Flight Unlimited II (FU2!...

...), Pro Pilot 2, Fly, etc,, etc, through MS FS '98, FS 2000, FS 2002, FS 2004, and FSX, the delight has always been the ability to load up my favourite GA, Piiston-prop, Trainer/Tourer Aircraft, eg: Microlights, Cessna 150/152/172/182, Beech Baron twins, etc, and fly slowly, at low level, over the fantastic default/add-on landscape unfolding below me.
...and all these low level flights enable me to study, in detail, the Geography, Geology, Flora, (and the History, Population, etc, via Wikipedia), of the areas which I slowly cover at low altitude.
I have never had any interest whatsover in "Commercial Passenger Jet" aircraft, traversing the World at silly altitudes, where the scenery is no longer visible.
