I've never had a problem with an auto-installer, I have however had problems with auto-uninstallers taking out things that they should not have. :-?
As for multiple planes in one download, most planes that are worth downloading are fairly large files, and to have many in one package just doesnt seem practical to me.
Perhaps if you were more specific about what type of aircraft you were looking for, then people could suggest where to find the best models.
There are also many threads which list 'best aircraft download' that might be a good place to start
here a couple of great aircrafts from warwick carter...both are freeware...and i have them in my hanger and they fly great and look great.

what kind of planes are you looking for?

There is nothing quite like going onto the well known, (and not so well known), Flight Sim Sites...
...and guess what?......!
.....Doing a search for what you want!......!
It's what we spend most of our time doing... in between pretending to fly.......!
Paul...G-BPLF......!
yeah well, the problem is, there are a lot of planes I would like to download, but I'm not sure about the quality of them. And sometimes when I install one plane, another earlier installed plane looses it's engine sound... :o

You download them, manually install them, and if you are not satisfied with them....
