And it isn't the tailwind that causes overspeed it is the headwind. If you have a 20kt tailwind that shears to a 20kt headwind your airspeed will increase by 40kts. that is called increased performance windshear which can cause increased stress on the aircraft. If you have it the other way around you will loss airspeed and can possibily cause a stall especially at low airspeeds like on approach, that is called a decreased performanced windshear. It is not as common at altitude in real life as there is in the sim and I agree it can be bothersom. I hope they can fix it in the next one, if there is ever one LOL. Cheers!
