Is that really important? I mean, not to put you down, but 5.1 million feet are more or less 1700 Km., Who would be able to fly a plane there, and why?
And even supposing a Shuttle simulation, let us all not forget that FSX has still that pesky speed limitation at Mach 5. A speed that the real Shuttle in the high reaches of atmosphere can tranquilly overcome by a power of two and even go faster.
In FS having a roof at 100000 is annoying all right, but not a disastrous limitation IMO.
