My apologies, I just got a copy of Ultimate traffic 2007 and the AFCAD for KMDT is VERY realistic and it does support parking and gates for a heavy. My last experience with a 747 was the stock kmdt and not being able to park or take off again lol
I love the 737 Experience very much, I have flown all over in it. I just wanted to try something new, I have never flown a MD-11, 80 or 83 and I can't aford the Capitan sim 757 so I'm looking for something new.
Ill rename the threads title as UPS no longer fits.
The iFly 747 works great it just lags alot, the posky I tried was a textured cockpit with no click-able surfaces and most don't come with a VC but I love the models.
That MD-11 looks really good, I can't belive I missed it. I will try that first thing tommarow :)
...not to mention the US government 747s and 757 that make common appearances, the two An-124s a year or two ago, the UPS A300s, FedEx 727s, and a slew of charters including the very occasional 747SP which is related to some medical organization that I cannot recall.
KMDT can accommodate pretty much anything...and the A380 would probably be fine there since the An-124s operated there with no problems, and the US "Presidential" 747s and 757s are there routinely. I have yet to see an MD-11 at KMDT, but FedEx's 727s are common.
Wink
Good point, I am new to the area lol. offtopic: During the summer I see a bunch of CRJ's and 737's(737's are rare)fly in down river using a runway 13 aproach (never seen a landing up close) and I here on liveatc.net the approach controller saying "tell me when your ready to make the turn by 3 mile island". Are those jets landing runway 13 or doing a circle behind 3 mile island and landing 31?
