Could not get the simulated Jenny to operate not much higher than the STALL SPEED...was a real Dog...

Both Grandfathers, my Dad and several other Family Members flew the aircraft but I have only sat in one.

I flew the DeHavilland of Canada Tiger Moth...another wonderful aeroplane... ;)

How well does this Model Simulate Flying....any problems with RPM :?:

Thats pretty normal perf. for a Jenny. Its a pretty large airplane when you see one up close and that very low-powered OX-5 engine made for some careful flying to avoid stalls.
A retired Airline Captain [B-737] friend of mine bought a basket case Jenny and spent years restoring it to better than new condition. It was beautiful. Of course, he said it was very under-powered.
One day he couldn't get it to accelerate out of Ground Effect on takeoff and he mushed it into the ground and caused severe damage. It broke our hearts, [and his].
Several friends around here owned DH Tiger Moths and that airplane was light-years ahead of the Jenny with its compact size and weight and the D.H. Gyspy Major engine of 145HP. They flew great Aerobatic displays in them and they all just loved the airplane. Another friend [Airline Pilot] said that many many years ago he got a job flying DH Tiger Moths for CROP SPRAYING! after he got his fresh Commercial License. . That must have been a pretty small payload. He too loved the Moth but one day he did the usual steep and tight pull-up to turn after a spray run.............and stalled the airplane. It crashed and burned but he was still conscious and crawled out injured but alive. He showed me the newspaper report of the crashed airplane. It was totally destroyed AND burned. So glad he got out. The good old days of flying.................

Good story Flacke. The old moth was a far better plane.
I knew a guy in Co. Wicklow Eire who had one. I had quite
a few flights in Her. The Jenny was a lovely sight to behold
though.

Really nice work Rich. I especially like the third one, looks very realistic.

An Aircraft Mechanic only needs two tools, Duct Tape and WD40.
If it moves and it's not supposed to - use the Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and it's supposed to - use the WD40.

Mighty rich screenshot post, Rich. :-) Over the last few months this must be a dozen times now that these fine screenshots have been personally viewed and savored. Am smiling each and every time. Fine work on this post. One question: What is that track vehicle between the fence rows in that last shot? Looks rather like an APC.
