Small furry woodland creature?  ??? Well It's all three. It's the new De Havilland Chipmunk for FS2004 by Rick Piper, Dave Booker, and Saverio Maurri.

This is one nice looking aircraft. Done in FSDS2 and it's only for FS2004. It comes in two models, trainer (bubble cockpit) and transport (Razorback Cockpit). The one in this review is the trainer version for the RCAF/Canadian Forces. I thought I'd put it through it's paces at CFB Winnipeg, air training centre for the CF.

It was a typical Winnipeg day, cloudy and looked like it could pee down any minute. I took it along the taxiway for a Rwy 18 takeoff.

Taking off along the runway. A better view of the aircraft.

Guess this is what the diapers are for. "Why is the sky green and the ground blue?" I certainly gave the instructor quite a shock when I pulled this little manouver. Note: The chipmunk isn't as good at inverted flight as you may think.

Good news for DVC fans. This aircraft has an excellent DVC.

Landing was a bit tricky. I was finished flying over the Peg so I decided to land at Winnipeg International. Even with flaps down, it didn't want to come down. Talk about lift. Had to force it down.

This is one of the best freeware GA/Military aircraft to come out in a while. Excellent aircraft designed to use DX9 to it's full. It's not hard on frames either. Grate DVC, good looks, nice paints, and a realistic flight model. Why are you still reading this? Go download it now at your favorite FS site.

Definately a 10 out of 10.

Cool shots, I especially like number 2 (well, it might be #3 since it looks like the first one is showing up  ;)).

Looks like I'll have to change my signature now!   O, BTW, if the instructor says "Jump" don't say "what?" cuz you'll be talking to yourself!  ;D

Right you are. That's my fault actually. I forgot to upload #1. It's up now.
