Well after ariving back home the other day I decided to take a couple days and go to St. Maarten before heading back to Paris. Once again that changes to something else. I needed to get the Lear back to a main airport sence Wabash Mun. is not prepared for anything but props. I had enough fuel to make it to Detroit so thats where I ended up. From Detroit I decided to take another visit to my grandparents down in Fort Myers, Florida. After checking around I found a Northwest flight to FMY. Strangly it was on a 727. A Northwest Airlines 727 was the first jet I had ever flown on. And that happened to be the same destination. So thats where I am now.
Holding short of the runnway.

Liftoff.

Climbing out and turning towards FMY.

Cruising at around 25,000 feet. Lunch is being served and everyone is settled in.

Cleared to land.

Braking the old fashion way. I remember my first flight in the 727. The pilot just deployed full flaps and spoilers to slow down, didn't even use brakes or reverse thrust. More or less coasted to a taxi speed.

Finaly parked at the gate. I'm off to the grandparents around 2 miles away. They dont know I'm coming so this ought to be a surprise

I plan on staying the night then its finaly off to St. Maarten in the afternoon.
