The Sandmann does it again! Wow!!

Postby EricK » Wed May 19, 2004 9:38 pm

Hi there,

Here are some shots of the new North Cascades Mesh by Holger Sandman. This is the some of the BEST scenery mesh I have seen so far. It is available at Avsim and is truly amazing. The following shots are more about the scenery than the planes. I hope you enjoy and comments are encouraged!

Thanks
Eric

Amazing! I live on an Island in Washington state and the N. Cascades are clearly visible and your pics definately have a resemblence  ;D Very realistic. Is Mt. Baker included with this package? Also, that last shot looks like a familar place...not in the Cascades but in Northern Idaho...BTW great choice of aircraft  ;)

Thanks for your replies,

Tsunami, that is Mt Baker in the second shot. That is the ski area and the peak itself is obscured a little by the clouds.

Thanks again
Eric

Hi all,

those are great screenshots Eric; thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the nice comments about my North Cascades package. Eric's last shot is of the lower Baker dam at Concrete, WA (I'm not a GMax modeller so I "build" these dams with the help of flatten switches and paint them grey).

Today, I uploaded us_wa_nc.zip to simviation as well. Usually, I upload my stuff to the three big FS servers at the same time but this time I started with a "trial balloon" at Avsim because I've had bad FS crashes lately and wasn't 100% sure whether this package had anything to do with it. After a couple 1000 downloads and not a single complaint it's safe to say that something else is going on with my old old computer. Sigh!

Enjoy the North Cascades!

Cheers, Holger
