My Airplane Shadow in the Clouds

Here's a snapshot from my iPhone on a short IFR cross-country with a student. Not the greatest photo by any stretch but still fun.

Cool shot! What's that thinger at the bottom right hand corner?
I went outside once. The graphics weren't all that great.

Burn the land and boil the sea, you can't take the sky from me.

My guess is the landing gear.  A Cessna of some variety I would also venture to guess, without wheel pants.

You would be correct. We were flying a 172.  We take the wheel pants off of all our airplanes because we use them exclusively for training. As many touch-and-goes as we do we'd eventually end up with cracked and shattered wheel pants.
