End of season fly-in

Postby Hagar » Tue Oct 12, 2010 6:38 pm

Well, that's about it for another year. Here's a few of the more unusual visitors at Popham on Sunday. Once the mist cleared it was a beautiful day for it.

First time I've seen this one. Complete with casualty on a stretcher.

A very nice Wittman Tailwind.

Another first timer.

We don't see too many float-planes in this part of the world.

Lovely shots, Doug... :)...!

...end of another flying year!

Float Planes..>>

We don't have an awful lot of inland water in Britain to suit float planes, and although we are surrounded by Sea, it would appear that float planes are not happy with landing, and taking off, on the Sea?...choppy waves?... ::)...!

I've seen drawings and B&W pics of the Cub evac plane, didn't realise there were still any around.
Thanks for sharing Doug, very educational ;)

Very nice Doug. Love the float plane. :)
[edit]I did my best to repaint the Carenado C185F in that livery but I can't upload it until the 'security issues' are ironed out.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.
