Great shots Mic. :)
I've been wondering. What distance from the aircraft are you when you take the shot and what lens are you using?

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Most of these were taken with the 18-135. Closest we could get was about 15 metres :)

A couple at 18mm

Ah so! You are a lot closer than I thought you would be able to get. Still, very impressive. :)

where is this, how do I get there, when does this happen, and how often does this happen???
Carriers would be so mush easier to land on if they would just stop turning!!!

Salsibury Plain, by getting on a plane from Canada, whenever there's a pre-deployment exercise on, normally twice a year.

Answer your questions? :P

so... Not a day trip... And not worth trying to get there as I may be dissapointed... I wish I was near some sort of afb or area that has a lot of military activity
