Scary stuff, John.... ...!

Something I have never been brave enough to do!....

Too many memories of the slippery "plastic" tyres we had in the 1950/1960's, when we spent most of our time on our arses, sliding down the road...

...too much blood, pain, and lost skin!.... ...!

I could never get enough courage to trust today's soft, grippy tyres!

Although i do agree with you it being scary stuff, a lot of the professional racing teams and supersport teams use these days as testers for upcoming race meets etc around the country, and Spending the day there when i go up you get to know them all and some of the story's they tell you of there bikes being wrote off because of the highsides or lowsides etc are horrific...

As for being low to the ground nothing at any of the trackdays (apart from a lowside crash) will come close to a friend of mine on his monster rep Kawasaki, he had a moment at lodge @ oulton park where he was that low he scraped his exhaust & hanger + his lower fairings, and managed to control it well enough to ride off to complete another 4 laps (pics as links for you to see):

I miss my bike (Ninja ZX-6).  It always amazed me how far I could lean it over and never lose traction.
