Planes of Fame

This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending Planes of Fame Fly-in at Valle airport outside of Flagstaff Arizona. Main activity was high speed passes, if the aircraft was able that is. The Tri-motor did its best, but it just kinda lumbered by.

Lovely shots. Just one question though, is there more than one "Planes of Fame" museum. I visited the Planes of Fame museum at Chino. Are they a chain museum (for want of better words)?

Flying Trucker, I have a couple of those. Will post a few links just for you! Unfortunately, nothing of interiors, except for the p-38 which I was able to take pictures of a separate cockpit in the museum.

Thanks ever so much...very nice...

I always did like that P38 and the cockpit is a real work of art. 
The vastness in size of the Pacific Theater made the twin engine fighter very suitable for the job.

That P-38 shot is almost an abstract.  Upon first glance, all you see are the rear of the radiator which looks a bit like a jet, then you look closer and see the props.  It speaks to me and says the P-38 was ahead of its time.
