Ask an expert, like Flying Trucker.  Never had the pleasure of owning either.

I would assume the floats still weigh more.

The weight of skis and floats are shown along with price of the unit and installation price.

I think many of you will get an eye opener when you check out the price of some amphibious floats here, they cost more than many light aircraft, cars, boats and homes...

It is a wonderful site full of useful information if you take the time to read it and again these are very helpful professional folks who do not mind anwering questions.
