UAL gear collapse @ EWR, 1/10

Postby flyboy 28 » Sun Jan 10, 2010 6:06 pm

Went spotting at EWR today but had my CF card confiscated by Port Authority Police around 2pm. I had a bunch of great shots, as well as the United A319 whose gear collapsed. I took a picture on my phone of the display on my camera to send to my buddy, so I figured I'd share them here, too. I'll post the pictures whenever I get my memory card back, hopefully they don't erase them all.

Ouch. Doesn't look too good.
Why did they confiscate your memory card?

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Due to a recent development today regarding talks between us spotters and the Port Authority, I'm afraid I can't go into any real detail. Sorry if you were looking for juicy details, guys.
