Happy 234 Years Marines

November 10th, 1775...

A Corps of Marines was formed in the Tun Tavern in Philly.

That's right, the Marine Corps was born in a bar

:) These aren't my pics, one of the Marines had his girl take the pics.  I'm the rifleman in the color-guard, dude on the far left :)

My 3rd color guard in 16 hours...my knees were shot lol...

Gotta love the Marine Corps aniversary/birthday.... 8-)

It was the only night we were given alcohol in Iraq... ;D

The Army wouldn't have done anything like that, but since we were attached to the Marines, they were kind enough to give us all two beers.... 8-)

But from the sounds of Marines running around and yelling outside, running through our building, i'm fairly certain a lot of them had more than just two beers...lmao ;D
