lol good one fozzer, i tell that joke to my clients when they ask me what i do with them....

He was quite fine with me near him. When i arrived at the house, it was sitting in the corner of the yard sniffing out a gate. i closed to within 2metres of him no worries, and them placed my bag in the way, while gently tapping him with my stick, he went straight in, all done within 30seconds.

Great capture Glenn, didn't realise they were protected, killing one can attract a fine upto $4000. :o

Thank goodnes I've only encountered one snake in my life time, a red bellied black snake. Luckily, he was more scared of me than I was of him, as is always the case with snakes. ;)

...unless you accidentally step on them...then look-out!... :o...!

Fortunately, for us, we only have one dangerous venomous Snake...
...the Adder...>>>

Found basking in the Sun, amongst the Ferns in Wooded areas.
Must always be aware on them!... ;)...!

the only venomous snake I've personally seen in the wild (in the back yard lol) is the coral snake.... and it was dead because my friend's kitten chased into the pool... lol ;D

Snakes......I hate snakes.... ;D

But seriously, how smart is it to have laws protecting one of the most poisonous creatures in the world? What exactly does it contribute to society?
What happens if one of those tries to attack you, and you kill it out of self defense?

I guess it makes us feel better about not having completely obliterated another species from the face of the planet ;D
